Slayer

Speak to a Slayer Master to receive a task. Kill all assigned monsters to earn XP and Slayer Points.

How It Works

Slayer is a combat skill where you earn XP by killing specific monsters assigned by a Slayer Master. Each kill gives Slayer XP. When you finish all the kills in your task, you receive Slayer Points which can be spent in the Rewards Shop.

You can only have one active task at a time. If you already have a task, speak to a master to check your remaining kills or cancel the task. You can also use the ::task command anywhere to check your current task.

The higher your Slayer level, the wider the pool of monsters Vannaka can assign — stronger monsters give more XP per kill and more Points on completion.

Slayer Masters

Vannaka

Varrock — courtyard near the palace
No requirements

Vannaka assigns tasks from a broad pool that grows as your Slayer level increases, starting with easy monsters at level 1 and adding stronger creatures all the way up to level 95. Best for lower-level players or anyone grinding Slayer from scratch.

Chaeldar

Zanaris — requires Lost City quest
Requires: Lost City quest + 50 Slayer

Chaeldar only assigns dangerous monsters (Hill Giants and above). Her tasks yield significantly more XP per kill and more Points per task. Recommended once you have the requirements and want faster Slayer progression.

Kratos

Edgeville — jail building near the guards
Requires: 50 Slayer

Kratos assigns wilderness-only monsters and rewards double the Slayer Points of other masters. High risk — you must survive the Wilderness to reach him and complete your tasks. Not for the faint-hearted.

Slayer Keys & Chest

Slayer Key

While on an active Slayer task, every kill has a 1 in 500 chance to drop a Slayer Key. Keys only drop from monsters that count toward your current task — killing random monsters off-task will never produce a key. Keys are tradeable.

Take your keys to the Slayer Chest located next to each Slayer Master. Each chest open consumes 1 Slayer Key and rewards one item from the table below.
